From there, we'll step aboard a private canal cruise, gliding through Copenhagen's picturesque waterways. It's the perfect introduction to the city, passing colourful townhouses, historic landmarks and contemporary Danish architecture from a unique perspective.

Our morning begins with a guided walk through some of the city's most iconic landmarks. Wander the impressive star-shaped fortress of Kastellet, stroll along the waterfront to the world-famous Little Mermaid, and continue to the elegant Amalienborg Palace, home to the Danish Royal Family. Here, we'll enjoy a private guided tour of the palace museum, gaining fascinating insights into Denmark's royal history and traditions.

This afternoon we'll venture to the creative district of Refshaleøen, where we'll enjoy a delicious lunch at one of Copenhagen's most celebrated bakeries before experiencing an exclusive private tasting experience, discovering the innovative flavours and culinary creativity that have helped put Denmark at the forefront of the global food scene.

Returning to the heart of the city, we'll climb the gently winding spiral of Copenhagen's historic Round Tower for spectacular views across the city's rooftops.

This evening, we'll enjoy dinner at one of Copenhagen's unique local dining venues, where sharing great food around the table is all part of the Danish experience.

Today we'll venture north of Copenhagen to discover one of Denmark's most beautiful coastal regions.

Our first stop is the spectacular Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, widely regarded as one of the world's finest art museums. Set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the Øresund Strait, we'll enjoy wandering through its remarkable collection of modern and contemporary art before taking time to soak up the breathtaking coastal views.

We'll then continue to Rungstedlund, the former home of renowned Danish author Karen Blixen, best known internationally for Out of Africa. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and peaceful natural landscapes, we'll explore the rooms where she lived and wrote, gaining fascinating insight into her extraordinary life, literary legacy and the place that inspired generations of readers, writers and artists.

Returning to Copenhagen, the remainder of the afternoon and evening is yours to enjoy. Wander the colourful streets of Nyhavn, browse the city's stylish boutiques, enjoy the local Danish cuisine or simply relax with a drink beside the harbour as Copenhagen comes alive for the evening.

This morning we farewell Copenhagen and journey west through the beautiful Danish countryside, discovering another side of Denmark along the way.

Our first stop is the charming harbour town of Kerteminde, where we'll visit the beautifully preserved home of one of Denmark's most celebrated artists. Surrounded by tranquil gardens and overlooking the sea, we'll enjoy a fascinating insight into Danish art, culture and everyday life. You'll also have time to enjoy lunch at the museum café before we continue our journey.

By late afternoon, we'll arrive in the enchanting medieval town of Ribe—Denmark's oldest town. With its cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and beautifully preserved historic centre, Ribe feels as though it has stepped straight from the pages of a storybook.

Tonight, we'll settle into one of Denmark's most historic hotels known for its timeless charm before enjoying a delicious dinner together in the heart of this remarkable town.

After lunch, we'll board the ferry and cruise across the waters to the enchanting island of Ærø. As colourful cottages and charming harbours come into view, you'll quickly discover why this idyllic island is considered one of Denmark's best-kept secrets.

This afternoon we'll settle into our accommodation and embrace the slower pace of island life. Wander the cobbled streets, admire the beautifully preserved historic buildings, browse the boutique shops or simply relax by the harbour before enjoying a delightful evening together.

For those who prefer a more relaxed morning, our mini-bus will meet the group at a seaside location where we’ll come together for a painting class with Annie inspired by the peaceful surroundings. With freshly baked pastries from a local bakery and the sparkling waters as our backdrop, we’ll enjoy a wonderful opportunity to slow down, connect and capture the beauty of Ærø in our own unique way.

Later, we’ll immerse ourselves in Ærø’s local food culture with a special culinary experience, celebrating the island’s fresh ingredients, traditions and the wonderful flavours of Denmark.

This evening, we’ll gather for our Farewell Dinner on Ærø, reflecting on the memories made, the friendships formed and the special moments shared during our time on this beautiful Danish island.

After breakfast, we’ll say farewell to the beautiful island of Ærø and begin our journey back to Copenhagen.

We’ll enjoy one final ferry crossing, taking in the views across the Danish waters before continuing by mini-bus through the countryside towards the capital.

As we arrive back in Copenhagen, we’ll say goodbye after a wonderful journey through Denmark — filled with charming villages, local experiences, beautiful landscapes and special memories shared along the way.
